Learning to dance is a process. Margaret is patient and guides you through that process helping students to gain confidence as they learn the steps.

Incredible is the only word to describe Margaret!

A master teacher, she makes each student (no matter what her skill level) fell comfortable, energized, and successful! No one wants to miss a single dance class; it is just too much fun!

-Carol

In 4 solo 1 hour sessions, she had us ready to preform!

My dad and I took dance lessons for our father daughter dance at my wedding and Margaret was amazing!! And we only gave her a week and a half to work with us! She was amazing and worked with our less than stellar dance abilities!!

-Paige Hubert

“It was great to have A Dance to Remember as a performing partner for our recent Swing Time!!! concert. Margaret, and her students ensured a memorable event for our audience and were incredibly easy to work with. Every ensemble should be so privileged to join with dancers whose preparations outside the musical rehearsals are so thorough. Bringing everything together for the show was so simple!”

-Brad Everett Cawyer (Music Director & Conductor, Mesquite Symphony Orchestra)

Margaret Kochan’s (ADTR) 6th Annual Spring Showcase, last Sunday afternoon, was an absolute delight..”

It included dinner, performances, and general dancing. Quality and variety are the two words that describe it best. The performances included couples dances of Waltz (Silver, Viennese, Country, & English), Foxtrot, American Tango, Argentine Vals, Bolero, Night Club Two-Step, Hustle, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing and Modern. There were also group dances of Rumba, Flamenco, Polka Folk, and Rumba Flamenca. In addition there was a Quickstep demonstration not listed in the program. All the routines were dazzlingly performed and choreographed beautifully. The Showcase was very lively, never a dull moment. Looking forward to the next one.

Her class is the highlight of my entire
workout schedule.”

I entered Margaret's dance classes as a 60+ year old woman and leave feeling like a teenager! Margaret
brings so much enthusiasm, warmth and great dancing and teaching ability to all of her classes. She has a way
of breaking down a complex dance into learnable steps which even this limited ability dancer can understand.
I find myself smiling all during her class as I also get a good work out.

-Suzanne

“Margaret, thank you so much for performing at our 2nd annual Chocolate Indulgence Event February 6, 2015. As a nonprofit domestic violence shelter we are always looking for opportunities to partner with local businesses that focus on healthy relationships, and we believe we found the perfect match in A Dance To Remember. Your dance was not only entertaining but inspiring. Our guests went on and on about how much they enjoyed your performance. The joy and enthusiasm you brought to this event will be remembered throughout the year. In addition, thank you for your contribution to our silent auction. We were able to raise much needed funds for our shelter because of the generosity of businesses like yours. We look forward to having you perform at our next event!”

"We are very thankful to Margaret for starting us on this wonderful life-changing journey. She teaches through upbeat and positive reinforcement and her love for dancing is infectious. Thanks to her we will be dancing into our 80’s and hopefully beyond!"

A year ago, in February 2017 we started coming to ADTR for dance instruction with Margaret. We had seen a young couple dance on a cruise years earlier and we wanted to be that couple. Our plan was to take a cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary earlier this year. While our anniversary was in January, the cruise we chose was last month, in April; a round-trip 4 week cruise from Los Angeles to Hawaii, Samoa and Tahiti. Thanks to Margaret’s expert, patient and upbeat dance instruction, we were ready to dance on our cruise. We were on the Emerald Princess, a ship with about 3,100 passengers. We encountered ballroom dancers on our first night at sea. Being new dancers, we were a little intimidated but after introducing ourselves and complimenting a few couples on their skill we were asked to join them and from that evening on we became known as the ‘Ballroom Dance Club’, meeting every day for a class at 1 pm and dancing in different venues from 5pm until well into the night. The group grew every night until we were nearly 2 dozen couples. After a few nights of dancing, we came to learn that even though several couples had been taking lessons for over 15 years, they made mistakes just as we did. They all struggled with the same issues we did and, much to our surprise, we were even able to teach a few steps to some of them that they hadn’t yet learned. We stood out to the other cruise passengers because we promised each other that we would dress up every evening, not just on the 4 formal nights. Yes, we did normal cruise stuff like eating too much, watching shows, sitting in the sun, hanging out at the pool and discovering wonderful things about the South Pacific, but our focus quickly became dancing. The entire group searched out the best venues with the best music. The Cruise Director and his staff became aware of our passion for dancing and they helped create more spaces for us. When we arrived in Tahiti, a professional dance team boarded for our 8 day leg back to Los Angeles. Not only did they perform twice on stage but also taught 3 classes; one each in Waltz, Cha Cha and East Coast Swing. As good as their teaching methods were, they weren’t ‘our’ Margaret. We are very thankful to Margaret for starting us on this wonderful life-changing journey. She teaches through upbeat and positive reinforcement and her love for dancing is infectious. Thanks to her we will be dancing into our 80’s and hopefully beyond!

“Margaret, thank you so much for your continued support for Angels of Dance by performing at both our fundraisers and annual show “Dancing for the Cure.” As always you danced like angels. Your generosity and that of your students helped fund breast cancer treatment for women in need.”

"We were the best dancers in the group."

Last night, at our Country Club, we had a Vintage Dinner and Dance.  It was great.  Gregory and I enjoyed the dancing so much.  In fact, we were told by the band and the host that we were the best dancers in the group. That wouldn't have happened if we had not learned from you.  Thank you.  We loved our time dancing with you.  You are the BEST!
